All About Me

Hello everyone! I am so excited to share my story of how I came to TTRC. I am a Gypsy Vanner mare and was born in 2005. I was a broodmare in Moro Bay and loved riding with my foals following on the beaches. My favorite treat is Watermelon! Yum!

A few years ago, I moved down here to Southern California and was in foal. I had a nice family that loved me and was so excited to enjoy my baby with them. Unfortunately, I lost my foal to a difficult birth and my family and I were devastated. I was so depressed I couldn't deal with much of anything. My family was also going through some health issues and wanted to help me feel better any way they could, but time and energy was limited.

They reached out to TTRC to see if maybe they could use my help working with the kids with disabilities. When I first came to TTRC I was devastated with grief. I just couldn't get over losing my foal. Then one by one each of the little kids helped groom me and braid my mane and tail. They gave me baths and tasty treats. Some of them would just hug me. They could tell day by day my joy was returning. With all their love I started feeling better. Trail rides and arena patterns helped my heart, mind, and body heal. I was loved and wanted for who I was without my babies.

Now, I help others who are feeling depressed or anxious. I help families enjoy life a little bit more and I couldn't be happier! I am so happy to have this chance to meet so many amazing people and just give them a little bit of sunshine. Even better yet, I get to work with my favorite friend Casper! He is just the best and I am so glad to be partnered with him on this amazing journey to help kiddos have a great piece of their lives!
