All About Me

Hello, I'm Lucy, a Quarter Horse mare born in 2006. My favorite treats are those soft squishy cookies. Yum! I came to TTRC after serving with Equifriends as a therapy horse for a few years. Unfortunately, in 2020 all my students stopped coming and I started just getting worked by a trainer to keep me fit. I was getting bored and cranky.

They thought maybe I had health issues causing my frustration, but test after test nothing was found. That's when I came to TTRC and started working with Miss Stephanie. She helped me with some nutrition for my hormones and got me back to work with some kids again. I was so happy to be back in action even though I am one of the cranky ones at the ranch. Hormones are rough, Miss Stephanie says!

I am so glad to be understood and loved for who I am. When I have my cranky days, I get some time off and supplements to help me feel better. I am great working in the arena or on trail with my students and prefer to work alone without other horses bothering me. I don't like horses getting too close to me or my kiddos. I don't mind my neighbors Clark and Theo but the rest of the herd can be annoying.

Even with my cranky days, I love helping my students focus and learn so many riding skills. I do have one of the best trots on the ranch. I get so many giggles with my slow even trot and love bringing smiles to my kiddos!
